The summer break is coming to a close, and we are counting the days to welcome our students back to another exciting and enriching academic year.

My team and I have gathered all the important information and essential steps that will help you ensure a smooth and successful start to the new school year.

1) School-Home Communication:

At TMSA Apex, we prioritize effective communication between the school and our families. To achieve this, we rely on two essential platforms:

• ParentSquare: ParentSquare serves as our primary communication and organization tool. It ensures that families stay well-informed and engaged in their children's learning and school activities. If you haven't already done so, please make sure to register for a ParentSquare account with the same email address and phone number you have in PowerSchool. • TMSA Apex Website: Our school's website (www.tmsaapex.org) is a valuable resource to keep you informed about the latest school events, student achievements, and important forms and documents. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the website to stay up-to-date with all the happenings at TMSA Apex.

In addition to these platforms, we also maintain an active presence on social media:

• TMSA Apex Facebook Page: Our Facebook page is vibrant and buzzing with updates and announcements. If you are a social media enthusiast, we invite you to like and follow our page. Don't forget to share our posts with your friends and help us build a strong community.

2) Student Dismissal Procedure

Starting the first day of school (August 7th, Monday), we will start using PikMyKid: School Dismissal Platform. This user-friendly tool is designed to streamline our student drop-off and pick-up process, ensuring a more efficient and secure experience for everyone involved. To facilitate a smooth transition, we kindly request that all parents and guardians download the PikMyKid app to their phones.

3) TMSA Apex Uniform:

TMSA Apex is a uniform school. Our commitment to providing a healthy learning atmosphere is grounded in principles of equality, inclusivity, and discipline. By adopting a uniform policy, we aim to create an environment where students can focus on seeking knowledge, pursuing wisdom, and fostering peace without being distracted by the latest fashion trends.

To ensure clarity and consistency in our dress code, we have recently updated our Student Dress Code guidelines. As part of this update, we are pleased to announce our partnership with French Toast as our official uniform vendor. You can find detailed information about our uniform requirements and place uniform orders via French Toast by visiting our Student Uniform webpage.

However, we are aware that there have been some stock-related challenges for certain items, particularly outerwear, sweatshirts, and fleece items with the school logo. We want to assure you that we are actively working with French Toast to address this issue. While we are pushing for an earlier availability date, please note that these outerwear items with the school logo should be restocked and available before Thanksgiving.

4) Parent-Led School Bus

TMSA Apex does not offer school bus services. However, our parents use Charter Transportation Logistics, an independent organization, for paid bus services.

If you are interested in using the paid bus service transportation for the 2023-24 school year, you must create an account on MyCTL.org and submit the interest form.

5) After-School Care

Please take a moment to fill out the TMSA Apex 2023-2024 After-School Care Interest Form until July 27 (Thursday) at 11:59 PM.

For us to proceed with providing after-school care, we require a minimum of 10 students consistently using the program throughout the week. Your response is crucial in determining the demand and feasibility of the program within our building.

6) Lunch

We are partnering with MyHotLunchbox as our lunch provider. It is a complete school lunch solution that is simple to use. It offers a variety of well-balanced, delicious meals from restaurants kids know and love, delivered fresh. For more information and order now, visit our Lunch page.

10) Kindergarten Staggered Entry Plan and Calendar 

At TMSA Apex, we participate in “staggered entry.”  This process encourages a gradual transition from home to school and ensures your child’s first day is calm and positive.  Each kindergartener is assigned one staggered entry day and will come to school only on their assigned day during the first week of school (August 7th-9th ) from 9:30am-2:30pm.  For more information about the staggered entry and our plan, please visit HERE.

11) Open Houses for Grades 1-6

We would love to see you all at our open house!

• Grades 1-3 (August 3rd, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
